Google Maps Platform

Mapslio uses Google Maps Platform services to search for businesses and retrieve place information. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of Google Maps content is also governed by the Google Maps Platform Terms.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Mapslio, we may collect the following types of information:

Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.

Authentication: We use Google Sign-In for account creation. We receive your name, email, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not store your Google password.

Business Data: We retrieve publicly available business information from Google Maps and Google Places, including business name, address, photos, reviews, and operating hours. This is publicly sourced data available to anyone on Google Maps.

Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number or billing details on our servers.

Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Mapslio platform • Generate and publish your business website • Process payments and manage your subscription • Send you service-related emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, important updates) • Respond to your support requests • Improve and debug the platform

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers to operate our platform, including a payment processor to handle billing, a hosting provider to serve your site, and analytics tools to understand platform usage. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their specific function and are contractually required to protect your information.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

4. Cookies

Mapslio uses a minimal number of cookies — primarily session cookies required to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences during a visit. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect your ability to use certain parts of the platform.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as billing records).

To request deletion of your data, email us at support@mapslio.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm and process your request within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

For EU residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can request this by emailing support@mapslio.com.

For California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Data Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support@mapslio.com. Generated sites will be taken offline within 24 hours of account deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Mapslio is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at support@mapslio.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of Mapslio after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
